Research Engagement Manager
Dr Naadiya Carrim is currently Research Engagement Manager in King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. Under the Vice President for Research, the Research Engagement team is embedded within the research, implementing strategic initiatives, and engaging with the academic faculty and research community where necessary to support their impact-driven research. Specifically, Naadiya monitors and evaluates research at KAUST and is also the host of KAUST Sci-Café. Prior to her role in KAUST, Naadiya attained her PhD in cardiovascular biology from the Royal College of Surgeons in her native home, Ireland, and then pursued her academic career in cardiovascular immunology in St. Michael’s Hospital and the University of Toronto, Canada, where she successfully attained a fellowship from the Canadian Blood Services. Following her postdoctoral fellowship Naadiya joined the startup company Novalte, as Project Manager before arriving at KAUST. She has been part of the KAUST community since March 2017.
